Your Story, Your Way

A 9-week individual counselling program for neurodivergent young adults to explore their identity, understand their experiences, and build a life that feels aligned.

Smiling Woman Relaxing

At Rise & Shine, we believe counselling should be:

COMPASSIONATE

Support that feels kind, steady, and attuned to your needs, especially when life feels uncertain.

EMPOWERING

We help you reconnect with your inner strength and move toward the life you want with confidence and clarity.

INCLUSIVE

We honour every identity, background, and experience. Your story matters, and it belongs here.

Smiling Man Indoors

You are the author.
The world is just the setting.

Most of the world was built for neurotypical brains.

This program isn't about teaching you how to 'fit in'.

It’s about externalizing the shame, re-authoring your past, and building a life that finally feels like yours.

Your Story, Your Way is a 9-week program for neurodivergent young adults.

Our licensed counsellors will use narrative therapy to help you understand your life as a story and separate yourself from challenges. They will also use solution-focused therapy to help you focus on your strengths and take practical steps to create meaningful change.

  • Tools to navigate overwhelm, burnout, and transitions more sustainably

Is This Program Right For Me?

This program may be a good fit for you if you:

  • Identify as neurodivergent (diagnosed or self-identified)

  • Are 18-25 years old

  • Feel like you’ve been masking or “performing” for a long time

  • Are unsure who you are underneath expectations

  • Experience burnout, overwhelm, or low energy that’s hard to explain

  • Tend to be hard on yourself or question worth

  • Are navigating transitions (school, work, independence, relationships)

  • Are open to reflection, conversation, and trying small new approaches

This program might not be the best fit if you:

  • Are looking for crisis or urgent mental health support

  • Want a purely skills-based or solution-only approach without reflection

  • Prefer a highly structured, directive, or clinical-style program

  • Are not open to exploring identity, patterns, or personal experiences

If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you figure out whether this is the right fit.
