George Gunther

MACP, CCC (he/him)

Hello! I’m George, a counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges with warmth, empathy, and practical tools for change.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts from York University. My approach is grounded in genuine curiosity, respect, and a desire to understand each person’s story, strengths, and values.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a personal trainer, where I developed a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and the power of motivation and goal-setting. That experience, along with my own healing journey after a traumatic event, continues to shape how I support clients in creating meaningful, lasting change.

I’ve worked with a diverse range of people navigating trauma, sexual abuse, substance use, breakups, relationship challenges, personality differences, and major life transitions. My goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.

I’m passionate about helping others grow and am committed to ongoing professional development so I can continue to offer the best care possible.

Congratulations on reaching out, you’ve made the first step.
